Target finds.
To my eyes the Dwayne Johnson likeness on Black Adam is alright on final delivery, it's not stunningly well done but I'm also not having any sort of hard time recognizing who it's supposed to be. As a figure he handles mostly as well as any other figure in the line but I will note that his wrists are done in a Marvel Legends style hinge and swivel instead of the previous method with that hinged ball between the hand and forearm, so that's something. He includes two yellow lightning effect pieces which if I'm not mistaken just look to be the same lightning pieces from their MK Raiden figure but in yellow, I don't have any of the Raiden figures though so maybe I'm wrong. They can be oriented on his arms facing either direction but given all he has are fists I like using them for a super lightning charged punch more than a front facing bolt blast. Overall I dig it and maybe if the movie is entertaining enough I might get some of the other figures too.
I also saw that they got the first deluxe figures for the Halo Spartan Collection line, but I really didn't like Halo 5 so I didn't even give that Arbiter much of a look beyond shoving 3 of him out of the way to check out the Master Chief pack. The Halo Infinite Chief has seen quite a few revisions in this line (probably too many) but thus far I was content enough skipping all of them since I got the first release. Apparently including "The Weapon" was what they needed to get my attention for another release of this same toy, I haven't played Infinite so I'm not in the know but this is close enough to Cortana to entice me. The Chief is the exact same figure but with a new slightly longer, slightly better articulated neck. He's a bit looser than the wave 1 version but on the other hand they did give him a more intricately done scuffed and worn paint deco. It's nowhere near as overdone looking as the version with the grapple which to me looked like he just ran out of a house fire. To help with the "deluxe" aspect of the pack they did give Chief a decent arsenal of: an assault rifle, a pistol, a plasma sword, and a plasma pistol. The main cool new piece for Chief though is the left hand with the little Cortana/"Weapon" hologram which honestly kind of sold me the pack. It also comes with a larger minimally articulated "Weapon" cast in a dark translucent blue that stands on a base (for a height of something shy of 6 inches) with 4 LEDs, and damn this base is actually a pretty good flashlight too because it's seriously bright. It's a neat set but I could definitely see passing on it if you've already got more than one of this particular Chief.
