Quiet quitting seems to be the new thing and quietly killing the line with new inferior sculpts is something Hasbro is familiar with.
They started making new 3.75" figures with less articulation, softer plastic, less accessories, at an increased the price! This feels very deja-vu-esque!
I didn't collect Universe but remember the complaints about the decline you’re referencing. 3.75” collectors made comments on the Legends thread expressing feeling abandoned for the 6” line. I was worried things would eventual reach a similar inflection point when Hasbro announced Joe and purchased Power Rangers. Are they going to put in the same effort and attention to detail when working on a licensed property? I think the answer becomes clear when comparing Classified to Legends. There are also several Power Rangers figs that showcase greater amounts of attention than do most canon Legends. I know better now the pain of the Marvel Universe collector as I’m the latest cast off from Hasbro’s discarded fanbase tree.
