All Son Gokus are Perfect - for a 50$ Figure.
So I can clearly not understand, why they refuse
to bash out Green Goblin for 80$.
New Technology does not justify a Double or Triple Price Tag.
They can put out $50 Dragon Ball figures because most of it is reuse. If you look at the new Future Trunks that one is more expensive because of new tooling. He’s at the same price range as Super Saiyan Vegeta 2.0 when that figure first came out. The re-release of that vegeta is a $40 figure. They know a reuse is worth less than a new figure. I have been collecting the DBZ Figuarts from the beginning and I have to say the older figures had better paint jobs on the bodies, facial details were sculpted instead of decals. The newer ones have better articulation so it’s a trade off. The mainline figures have pretty much stayed at the same price for the last 10 years for Dragon Ball.
This Goblin is from the premium line, all new tooling and limited production run. They know it’s not for everyone and the price won’t be the new norm.
