You know what’s new under the sun? Gene therapy – that’s new under the sun. Quantum computing - when it actually happens, we aren’t there yet despite what’s been pitched to angel investors on Wall Street, but it will be new under the sun once it happens. Cold fusion - considering recent breakthroughs in nuclear fusion, we seem remarkably close, which would be very new under the sun. While I’m a fan of nostalgia, my thinking remains flexible. Rigidity of thought leads to intellectual dead ends and is antithetical to evolution.

Except when it comes to manties, of course, as they are the ultimate in superhero fashion accoutrements.
