Something was bothering me about this sculpt of Harrison Ford, and I finally figured out what it is. It's not the sculpt, it's Ford's grooming. It's the same thing that they got wrong in Ford's last Star Wars appearance: whether as Old Indy or as Old Solo, Ford should have gotten a good, close haircut. I'll chalk it up as part of the broader tendency nowadays to depict aging white heroes as inept and unkempt and obsolete. At least he shaved.
Y'know I actually watched a clip yesterday from the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles where Harrison Ford made an appearance as Indy with a shaggy haircut and a bit of a beard (apparently it was around the same time he filmed The Fugitive so he couldn't shave it), now THAT would've made a cooler variant than this sad old Indy haha
