What a difference 33 years can make!



Batman is ok. He's good, really, but the shortcomings are annoying AF. Inaccurate/missing details on the armor, oversized gauntlet armor, Returns hands/belt, blah blah blah. The neck was clearly meant to have another articulation point, it's right there in the sculpt, and it's a shame they didn't correct it after they decided to keep the articulation more movie-accurate. Funny enough, it kind of ties him into the Batmobile a bit, with that sculpted seam where the body was clearly meant at some point to be split in two on smaller tooling.



ANYWAY! It's a $15 figure so how the hell can I really complain. It's a 7" '89 Batman! For $15! To cover the neck, I gave him the bottom half of a cowl from a KO Neca '89 Bats I got for parts fodder, and then gave him a new cape cut from an old pleather skirt. I actually bought the skirt specifically because it reminded me of Batman's cape texture, so hey hey, how's that for serendipity?





I'll eventually slap some black paint on the edges of the chest symbol, but I think I'll keep the gold since it reminds me of the DK Collection figures, and the 6-pack version will have yellow anyway.
