Found NECA's ultimate Elder Predator at Target today. I was still happy with their last Greyback but after 9 years it's not really surprising that this release had the updates to lure me into buying. Aside from sporting the more articulated body they added yet more details the previous version lacked such as the 2nd Infantry patch-wrap on his right arm and the sculpted on wrapping around the left gauntlet. One thing they actually took away was the tube connecting the body armor to the shoulder pad as he doesn't have that in the movie. They painted his skin much lighter this time around and the head is notably more nuanced, however the splotches (Predator liver spots?) on his left arm seem too heavy-handed and I think they should've kept the white on his unmasked head's quills. The added pieces for this release aren't new like NECA created for the rest of the Lost tribe but instead repaints of the masked heads included with Golden Angel which does make sense since they're supposed to be the same character. I think the light-up version is really cool but for long-term display I'll still just be using the unmasked head to have a more accurate representation. My standout gripe with this figure is that his only tight-grip hand is right but in the movie he holds his sword in his left, you can get him to roughly hold it in his included loose-grip left hand but it's not that secure. Overall if Greyback weren't one of my favorite Predators I probably wouldn't be too pleased with this figure given that I have the last one, but he is one of my favorites so I'm still glad I picked this one up.
