This line has also started delving into frequent reuse. If they can actually cobble something together that looks good, many won’t mind. Hell, making more female characters gives them a wider library of parts that can be recycled going forward.

If we’re talking “the average person doesn’t know them” as a rationalization for not making more women, that immediately disqualifies a good chunk of male characters as well. Characters like Booster Gold, Red Tornado, Captain Atom and Firestorm have around the same level of exposure (in some cases less), and they all got figures.
