I actually wouldn't mind a shift away from the brick and mortar stores. It's not like it used to be, back in the late 1990s when stores stocked things on a regular basis, and we had TRU as the huge retailer. I mean, who didn't get up on a Saturday morning when they didn't have to go to work to make a trip to TRU to see what was stocked overnight? The smaller chains made it difficult on TRU, and now TRU is gone. Now the smaller chains can't seem to get it right. I don't know if WalMart is a small chain, but out of 9 area WalMarts, they pretty much stock some lines as if one, maybe two stores (out of the 9) get the allocation while the other locations sit idle with 1-1/2 year old stock. And they rarely restock items. They are an embarrassment.

I would love to see production numbers on some of these figures. I wish they were published. I don't know what anyone else would think, but I imagine the numbers on some of these figures are between 5,000-10000 units produced. I could really support McToys if the items were up for presell (or preorder) and McToys filled the preorders plus maybe an extra 5-10% for overstock (or restock) with online retailers. Could really help with the character selection(s) fans are presented with, and might open the doors to obscure characters that fans would otherwise never have an opportunity to purchase.
FWIW according to an old report I read most toy sales are now coming from Amazon and Walmart.

Walmart is the biggest physical retailer however like I said before they do have a robust online store which muddies things.
