Lots of speculation about the rock tease. Could it be a Haslab Playset/Diorama?
I do not believe that. Not even a little. There are WAY too many reissues and mold reuses. No way on earth they resculpt an entire figure from another figure. They would never have to do that. Digital sculpting and all. Also, this former "Hasbro Employee" used the word "figurines". What action figure industry professional refers to Action Figures as "figurines"? That's some old person shit right there. Or like an office aid that doesn't care about figures at all.
Seriously. Just think about it. Do you (YOU Veronica Mars. Geek girl extraordinaire) honestly believe that Hasbro and all the people that work on these figures keep NO COPIES of figures? They pull MIB vintage toys out of the vault all the time. Not to mention numerous factory samples that just float around. Lenny, of the Classified team army build...with factory samples.
Another thing. They absolutely keep their molds. In fact they keep them until they wear them out. They are one of the most expensive aspects of the production process. Factories typically retain them and they can be constructed modularly.
