My pre-order from BBTS arrived yesterday. There's no ignoring that this is a flawed figure but I still really dig it. I'll get my gripes out of the way first, he has articulation issues. I would have preferred the cape be removable but it doesn't offend me either. He's quite larger than the typical DC Multiverse figure but on the smaller end of megafigs, Bane is actually a little bit taller than him and he's notably smaller than Mongul (whose arms he reuses) or Swamp Thing. I appreciate this size because classically Darkseid was not particularly big but the toy still feels large enough to support the higher price of being a megafig. The new sculpting and color choices are what make this figure really work for me, I especially like the heads. Both portraits came out very well but I definitely have to give the edge to the one with the energy effect, I think they did a great job making him look like he's charging up an omega beam. So yeah this Darkseid just stands there looking menacing but that's all I really wanted from him so I'm willing to move past some of his flaws and enjoy McFarlane's first classic Darkseid.

Is the cape removable?
