I'm impressed by the direction they've decided to take with SNW Captain Pike. It indicates that, maybe, HIYA have actually listened to feedback on improving the articulation standards of their Trek figures. However, the issue that remains unresolved is the awful paint apps. I lament the fact that HIYA insists on having paint on 90% of the figure instead of casting the parts in the appropriate color plastic. This would make such a difference, especially in terms of actor likenesses, where any likeness is frequently lost due to thick chalky paint.
