We probably won’t know for sure until Warner does a big press release on merch support, or Toy Fair (in March). Whichever happens first.
The only leaks I know of for Superman 25 are for McFarlane product. McFarlane is doing a spread of 7”, Mega-sized (10”?), and 5” Super Powers inspired stuff. While Spin Masters is doing their Kenner Retro 5” figures for Batman Forever, with rumors of a Superman 78 figure in development, NOTHING has been leaked, that I know of, in regards to Spin Master’s core product line for the film.
I would be IMPRESSED if Spin Master had the balls to change up their core figure size, but I don’t see it. At least not unless as a “Retro” side line (like the Batman Forever stuff). Spin Master is still producing 4” DC figures (with Metal Force being a major focus thanks to WB/DC backing), they’ve been making 4” figures for going on 5 years, I don’t see them changing what appears to be a working strategy.
So, that probably means that the toyline will be modest, with several major character relegated to exclusive multipacks (Remember all the different mixes for The Flash and how you were guaranteed 2-4 Flash figures, and 2-3 Batman figures, just to get the entire range of characters?). Core line will be 4”, there will be 12” figures (as there have been for 5 years), and maybe an off-scale gimmick figure.
I saw the vid I think being referenced, and it appears to show a foreign retailer listing. The problem is that key details like manufacturer were missing. Given the full slate of McFarlane product was leaked months ago, I can see a retailer making their own listings based off that.
