While I am glad we're getting more Spider-Man stuff, what IS coming out is all stuff I have no interest in. Every single figure today was a pass for me. I miss when Toy Biz had three or four Spider-Man toylines per year and we got at least one or two classic Spider-Man figure per wave. Now a days, it's one a year, if that, and it's either an exclusive, in a two-pack, hard to find, or all of the above. I'm also disagreeing, very rarely, with Captain Nash about being sick of the core characters - at least on the classic villains side of things. If anything, I want to see MORE of the classic core villains, especially the original rogues. I would love to see improvements made for Vulture, Doc Ock, Mysterio (hopefully with alternate heads like Quentin Beck and/or Daniel Berkhart), Shocker with human eyes instead of white lenses, and sorely needed redo sof both Goblins, Green and Hob. It's been four and five years since we got the Retro figures for Green Goblin, Electro, Hobgoblin, Kingpin and Mysterio. Let them remake them so new collectors or those who missed them the first time around can have their chance to buy them at an affordable price. I'm still disappointed we haven't gotten a Retro release yet for classic Vulture and classic green-and-orange suit Doc Ock with bendy wire tentacles. And with the Maximum line now, I fear what the price will be when they DO decide to give us an updated Doctor Octopus. If anything, they could at least give us variations of the main villains, like "Marvel Knights" uniforms of Vulture, Electro and Green Goblin and Armani suit Doctor Octopus. Heck, I'm still waiting on Carrion, the Spot, Calypso, classic purple-and-blue suit Boomerang, Sinister Syndicate era armored Rhino, Scorpia, classic Lady Octopus, classic Stunner, and Overdrive. Even Chameleon in his "smoking jacket" or '90s suit-and-tie are still on fans' wish-lists. A new classic Black Cat would be cool too. Instead, we're getting Miles, Gwen, and forgettable alternate Spidey suits for Peter that are going to peg-warm and get marked down on Amazon never to be sold at full price.

I'm also very nervous about what the price for the new Maximum series' Hulk figure will be, especially if the rumors the figure will be eight inches tall are true. If the height is correct from the leaked listing, I'll likely pass, as that would be too tall for my taste when displaying him with my figures. Then again, I just want Hasbro to do at least one Retro "The Incredible Hulk" wave mixing normal figures with larger Hulk-sized figures. Ringmaster, Tyrannus, the Leader in his orange-and-black suit, classic Abomination, the Absorbing Man, Bi-Beast, the U-Foes, General Ross, Rick Jones, Betty Ross-Banner, a better Bruce Banner, purple shorts "Avengers" #1 era Hulk, an affordable sold-separately classic savage Hulk with better face sculpts (and hair, unlike the 20th anniversary Marvel Legends figure), and Merged Hulk in his brown Pantheon era jumpsuit are all on my wish-list and I hope Hasbro makes them sooner than later.

And to answer WallySparks' question, the Nicholas Hammond Spider-Man will be up for pre-order in March as a Wal-Mart exclusive, but the date is to be announced.
