My local store apparently closed up sometime in the last month. I had this game, and several others paid off in full. Went to the store today to find it permenantly closed. They wouldn't honor my preorder at their store.
So we go to the actual store and it's closed despite it being listed as opening at 11am. Apparently, the staff didn't feel like coming in until 1:30, so that is when the store opened. By then, I am pissed and I pick up my game and had them refund me for everything else. Worse, one of the games my wife had paid for came out last month. So there was a game we paid for came out a month ago, but they never called us to tell us the game was instock along with not even communicating with us that the store we go to was shut down. I should NOT have had to play Sherlock Holmes for my games.
The store that was closing should have first called us to make sure transferring the preorders to that store was okay. I don't drive. There are no buses that go out to that store. If my wife didn't drive I would have never been able to get to that store. Nevertheless, this was unacceptable and showed me how Gamestop no longer gives a fuck about their customers. Thus, the company can take their business and shove it up their ass. I'll just preorder my games on Amazon from now on and find a mom and pop game store if we move to Florida later on this year.
