Funny enough I prefer the MU versions (all 300 of them) for some (not all) of the Capt. America figures.
I think what is bothering me about the line is two-fold. 1) The faces on the Cap figures don't look right to me. They look a little Cave-Man like. I like the MU head sculpts better. Now this doesn't apply to the Bucky Cap. That looks infinitely superior in the new line. Also the body on the new Winter Soldier is vastly superior but I dig the long hair MU head. I see a lot of head swapping in my future. 2) I am concerned that in all the pics of the line the Caps all look like they can't put their arms down fully (like the little brother in A Christmas Story in his full snow suit).
For me the wins are obvious:
Cross Bones looks f'ing awesome. I hope we see a few versions b/c I want to make sure I have extras for customizing.
Captain (Red & Black) or US Agent if you prefer looks bad @ss and the head fits John Walker much better a Steve Rodgers.
Bucky Cap also rocks out.
Captain Bitain is awesome too (but I still love my MU version just a smidge more)
The rest are all maybes for me. Don't get me wrong, I have pre-ordered the entire lot already. I just hope it lives up to expectations. Funny enough I am not big on the Thor line but I think the faces/heads look pretty sweet.
As for the MU. Minus the sh*tty paint jobs, the Ultimate Cap for me is one of all time favorite MU figures. The sculpt and the head beats most figures I own in the MU and even GI Joe. If I had to pick one Cap this would be it.
