Dude, that Ark playset alone is awesome! Not to mention that Generations will continue as a separate line alongside DotM. And DotM has some good stuff coming out too (even if you're like me and don't care for the MechTech gimmick).
Oh, yeah and TF: Prime toys!
All kidding aside, I'm just very surprised you didn't find something in that avalanche of TF news to interest you. But I guess you like what you like.
I hate the movies (They're crass, aweful, horribly written, and ugly designs), Prime is the most boringly written series (Boring story, boring world setting, boring designs. The only series MORE boring is IDW's current ongoing), and Generations I will not believe until I see new waves released six months after DotM launches. The fact they have not shown off anything from Generations or even mentioned Generations does not bode well.
Hasbro said that both Universe and Animated would continue along side RotF. When the reality is both lines were cancelled a couple months in advance.
So if the Hasbro TF team says Generations will continue, it's more likely based on history, that they are either lying, or factors beyond their control will end it.
Both Animated and Universe were delayed to prolong the first movie series. And indeed an entire wave's worth of toys got taken out of Universe, and shifted into being more movie. Both lines were cut short for the second movie, so neither would compete. In fact a few universe toys that were too late to cancel got shifted into movie, at the end.
So, while I would be thrilled if Generations does indeed continue, seeing is believing.
As for the DotM toys, I like the scouts. I like leader Sentinel. And I like Voyager Megatron. Those are the only ones that interest me.
I also like that the legends are finally getting something to do with their playsets, but since they're movie I don't really care to get them.
