To answer this question I wanted to ask you, the collectors and fans, why do you buy those expensive figures and why do you collect them anyway?
Is there any reason that is by all of you the same or does everybody has his or her own reasons?

I hope you can help me with this question
For me and for many other collectors I know, it has nothing to do with monetary value of a collectible on an after market, there's an almost nostalgic aspect to it in order to obtain something tangible to a favorite intangible character or thing. If I like a movie, I'll buy the toys based on it, if I read a comic book and that story turns out to be a stand out in my mind I'll those toys too.
