Really? I mean, seeing as how the movies haven't even hit theater's yet, are you guys just assuming or was this something that was announced at Toyfair?

I only ask because I would imagine that as a business strategy, Hasbro would milk these lines to supplement the popularity of the movies, assuming they succeed in the way X-Men, Spider Man and Iron Man did. Meaning I'd expect to see things like comic versions of characters in later waves.

Unless, it's like nickvree said and there just wouldn't be anything left to milk, figure-wise, for the Avengers film. Granted, I don't see Thor as being nearly as popular a character as the aforementioned superhero's films...Captain America, however, has potential to be a huge hit IMO.

In any case, SDCC is one place where such surprises are likely to be revealed. So we'll see. I suppose I could wait for next year to complete The Ultimates. Probably have to anyway.
Also, personally, Thor movie line could give us interesting figures, such as Beta Ray Bill, and others. Thor is a famous character, yes. Though he has had less publicity (Cap has a ton of cartoon apperances, so does Tony) which could present a problem for the toy-team.
