I agree the war machine figure is probably 1 of my favorite 6'' figures. And even at $18.99 it's still worth it.
I'm not sure the original WM releases and these are absolutely 100% the same, but I don't have mine handy to a side by side comparison. They're certainly similar enough to where the average buyer probably wouldn't notice or care about the differences. I actually found all of Wave 1 at TRU a few weeks back, but as much as I like them, $18.99 each was out of the question for me. They worked out to about $13.75 apiece for the sets at BBTS.

Well they don't actually unpack, repaint and repackage figures, of course... but all my local WMs have full pegs of the Mark V, so I'd agree he was probably not a terrific seller.
On the WM Mark V, all the joints are painted red, and they're tight. On the new one, the entire toy is molded in black plastic (no layer of paint) so I'm thinking that's the reason why it's looser. Again, could be just the one I got.

I'd say wait until you see it in person and see if the paint job does it for you. I don't like it as much as some previous stealth armors, but I do like the mold.
I also neglected to mention that the legs on the animated War Machine (which were from a later-wave IM1 toy, as many of you know) were very loose as well. No matter, he's headed for the back of the display anyway. :lol
It dawned on me recently that I've not updated my collection pics in a while - nothing since all the IM2 stuff hit. As soon as the Hot Toys Mark V comes out, I'm going to do a detailed shoot of all those.
