I don't have a wall of fame, but I do have doubles of some figures I really like and have been thinking of doing something similar with a wall in my closet.
I think you misread his original post he said he has a Series 1 Stealth Iron man, which if I'm not mistaken MOC sells for $150+ on ebay! also he said he had toad and cap, which are atleast $50-100. The rest I'll be it nice figures aren't very rare or valuable. Definatley keep the Marvel Legends stuff MOC, as it will gain more value overtime.

Personally I believe in opening all/most of my figures. I am a completist at heart, I'd love to have every figure in every wave of stuff I love but due to space limitations and budget limitations I make do with what I can afford and what I can find. I have some rare/ more expensive figures, such as my SDCC THOR, Iron man 2 3pack box sets, Ashley wood 3a marine Bramble, hulk statue, etc. I have opened some of them but kept the packaging for all, and the rare one's I opened are mainly due to easily being able to put them back, aka shadowboxes. If I came across a figure that was rare such as a variant, error figure etc like a ML deadpool, bibeast, gargoyle man etc, I'd definatley keep them MOC, if I have the extra flow to snag double then I'd keep 1 moc and 1 loose, but I tend not to buy doubles, unless someone is in need. I definatley have some figures that I wish I kept MOC for reselling purposes now, but we can't all predict what will be valuable or rare until later on when the figure is no longer made.

I do have a strong belief that any toy that costs me over $100 I gotta keep the box and all parts, I don't have to keep him MOC but atleast have the ability to make him look MOC. I'm hoping to be me making a tranaction soon with a local collector for an Irom Man Mark 3, battle damaged Hot Toys figure in exchange for $100 and some toys, you can count on 2 things, 1 I will be opening it, and 2 the package will be kept.

I think we all have ideas of what is rare/going to be rare etc, any variant, repaint, error figure has the potential to become rare etc, but then so does any figure... 1 million spiderman figures made, but if your the only guy who has one moc 30 yrs from now, you maybe laughing. The market/collector itself does dictate value a lot.
