Hey guys and gals I just got home a little while ago and I had a great day at the show. Unfortunately I arrived later to the show then I planned due to the wacky weekend NY Transit schedules so I missed the Mattel DC Universe pannel. However I was able to attend the Matty Collector one with toy Guru and the four Horsemen. I even had a chance to speak to the Mattel Toy Guru, Scott Neitlitch (sp?) himself later in the day at the Mattel booth.

I am a huge JLU fan and the new additions coming to the line do not dissapoint. And the upcoming MOTUC releases are incredible. Believe me when I say the pictures do not do them justice.

I have my notes from the Matty Collector pannel and I am going through them. I hope to have a report up either tonight or early tomorrow on it.

I was able to aquire a Faker figure, but i was upset to learn I missed getting a He-Man figure by mere minutes. They told me the last one sold 10 minutes before I got there. They were available around the convention floor for ridiculous amounts of money. I gather some of the dealers picked them up earlier in the day. On the flipside, Mattel did have plenty of Fakers and Beast Mans available. I hope to have a mini review of Faker some time this week, he is awesome. I was also given a Wolverine Origins Dog Tag from Acclaim I believe it was, which is very cool.

One little geek moment for me was being able to meet Kevin Maguire, who was the Artist on the 80's Justice League International series. I had him sign my Hardcover Volume 2 of the book. I was also shocked to see a long line for Rob Liefeld. I mean I remember the hype for him back in the day but I personally don't think his art was/is all that.

I saw some cool video games related stuff. Ultimate Alliance 2 looks like it is going to be awesome. Apparently the game is bassed on the Civil War. To promote it they even had a debate on Super Hero rights. Pretty funny stuff. Another upcoming release on display that looks great in the Legends of Wrestlemania. Only Hogan and Andre were available to use, but I did see the great Bobby "The Brain" Heenan at ringside. The graphics were amazing from the wrestlers to the crowd. The wrestlers even come to the ring in those little wrestling ring carts they used to use at some of the old Wrestlemania events. The game features a more old school control which harkens back to the well liked games of the past like WWF No Mercy. I was told they designed the game to lure back people who might not have played a wretling game in a while.

One thing that really struck me as funny was the Autograph area. Lou Ferrigno was there as was Peter Mayhew amongst others. But one "Celebrity" that was there blew my mind. The Legendary Anthony Forrester was there. You may be asking yourself, who it is. Shame on you! Mr Forrester portrayed a legendary cinematic role, he was the Stormtrooper at Mos Eisley who Obi Wan used the Jedi mind trick on. Of course I am being slightly sarcastic and I'm sorry to insult him or anyone else, but who would want to pay Money to meet him? Maybe it's just me.

Anyhow thats it for now. Big Thanks to Destro and Tony Bacala for allowing me the honor of being Toy Ark's field reporter.
