So I timed it just right and waited until she went to cut it open and said, "If you weren't going to open that today I'd be more than happy to come back." I knew full well she was going to open it at that point and also that they were definitely stocking it this morning, so that tiny bit of politeness changed her mood a good amount.

"No, no, it's fine, I'd have to get to it any way."
Nice move dude, showed some tact on your part.
