Well, to be honest, I'm not competing. So I don't really care what does or does not count against me.
In the "Thank you" example, it comes down to the new rules will *not* allow it without making some big post out of it. I tried to thank someone, and it came back "Your post is to short. It needs to be XX characters blah blah"
