Stuff like this is a big reason why I don't like the current post-Jemas direction for Marvel. (One of the biggest turn-offs since Quesada took over was depowering all the mutants save for 200, or some shit. I could understand scaling back. They were right that there were too many. You know, the idea of depowering didn't seem all that bad...at first. When I saw the mutant power "collective" hovering just above Earth's atmosphere at the end of House of M, I thought we would just eventually see those individual powers be returned to "surviving" characters as Marvel deemed necessary.

But instead, it went into that Vindicator look alike who joined the Dark X-Men and I was pretty pissed at that point. I agree, there were definitely way too many mutants...but wasn't destroying Genosha enough?

Like you said, it was fun to pick on Jubilee in the 90's, but now they've gone as far as to call R Kelly in to pee on her while signing her up for a future Twilight story. Hyperbole? Barely.
