I picked up the gold painted Takara United Classics Bumblebee just after the Goldbug head was announced (To avoid the insane skyrocketing prices that'll drive it to. Just finally got it today, though). I *had* been sitting and waiting for stored to start to discount this guy before I grabbed him. But alas, that was not ment to be.
But onto the point. I want to give everyone a warning. This has some of the worst quality I've ever seen on a toy. On mine at least, it will not go into vehicle mode. The head and chest barily get proper positions in robot mode. The doors pop off if you touch them (I have almost every unique release of this mold. Original, Cliffjumper, Bugbite, RtS), and I've never had a door pop pff on me once before. (I didn't know they *could.* I thought they were pinned on, given that)
Nothing lines up in vehicle, to connect. The roof does not line up with the front. The doors do not line up for any of their connection points. The arms don't fit underside very well at all, either. And in robot, things barily line up.
Maybe this isn't a widespread problem, but I just want to give everyone a heads up. This mold is toast. If the majority of them are like mine, then it will *not* be worth the insane second hand prices an upgrade set will push it to. It's not worth the $30 the current import prices are at.
