I have a little sister that is much younger than I am, and she lit up when I gave her a Spiderman doll and some Spiderman socks. We are superheroes to these kids, and they just tend to appreciate anything we do for them. Kudos.
I love that outlook! We get to be the superheroes now and take care of the next wave of Marvelites!
Even if it is a girl, I'll give her a chance to enjoy comics/superheroes/etc., but if the interest isn't there, it isn't there! I'm not pushy. If the toys sit then they sit. I still think the happiness they once brought me (though they still currently do) will outweigh any big cashout that will just go to something we don't need but want all the same. Now if I'm ever hurting for money or the kid needs something, they're gone, just like that. Otherwise, they'll get boxed up before I dump them off. MU has been too big a part of my happiness/collecting life to just dump. But to each their own.. I have loads of moc wwe classics that I now wish I hadn't have gone so crazy over, so if someone feels that way about MU, I understand dropping it all off.
