Seeing as how there are a limited number of “mainstream” characters, can we expect the line to explore classic, comic-inspired figures (for example Golden Age Superman or Earth-2 Robin) or is it more likely to venture into things like “scuba attack Batman” and “kryptonite armor Superman”?
A: You likely won’t see “Scuba Attack Batman” in the rebranded line. While the line will focus on mainstream characters such as Batman and Superman, think of all of the awesome versions of Batman and Superman in the comics. We can bring those to life in the 2012 retail line.[/B][/I]

Considering that Batman, Superman, and Wonderwoman have all had very little variation in their looks through the decades (Mostly consisting of increadibly minor tweeks, and artistic flares), this sounds increadibly... dull.
Look at what we've got now, since DCUC started. Arkam Batman, Silver Age Batman, Michael Keaton Batman, and a few Modern Age Batman. The only ones that really stand out are AzBats, and Sinestro Batman.
Superman... there's even less variety. And aside from a Golden Age version, we've pretty much got just about every major costume variation he's been through.
"Scuba Attack Batman" and "Kryptonite armor Superman" sound like more fun.
