Maybe that's how she stays so lean- she eats whatever she wants and expends the calories regrowing limbs....

Anyway, she's got a hilarious cameo in the Wolverine Vs. Hulk animated movie- as a clearly marked fetus floating in a tank.

She was also brought up with no love to be an organic killing machine and is conditioned to go into a berzerker killing rage whebever exposed to a designer pheremone the Weapon X people made.

Also worth pointing out that her and Daken recently went at it and were evenly matched.
Yeah, the lack of adamantium in her bones makes her heal faster.

She's not really a clone of wolverine, but that gets into semantics, she's not a copy of wolverine but female either really as she doesn't have his bloodlust that's just fan assumptions.

Her bloodlust comes from how she was raised, which is part of the nature v nurture debate surrounding her. She plays on perceptions though which is what makes her interesting even to the audience and creates all this mis-information that's refuted outright in the comics themselves but no one sees because of the bias of perception.

As for Vs Daken. She won outright. While physically they were evenly matched, though it can be argued she wasn't really trying, she did get into and mess with his head and had him questioning himself. So while physically she didn't beat him, mentally she completely broke him. (He was seeing things in his half of the story, to the point he was placing wolverine's eyes onto hers, whereas in her title where they talked, they were the normal green. He was seeing brown and thinking they were wolverine's eyes because of how they messed with his head about the entire 'clone' thing to screw with him. Which harkens back to how perception denies truth.)

That's the thing with X-23 though. She's nothing like wolverine other than being a killer and having claws. She's the opposite of wolverine in every way. She thinks, has tactics, and doesn't get lost in a berserker rage unless triggerscent is involved. Wolverine goes blind berserker rage, X-23 doesn't. It's her tactics that let her even take Wolverine down(tactics and precision, she was hitting key spots while keeping them from healing to drain his blood like a butcher would a pig or cow so he'd lose stamina faster and fall, whereas in that type of scenario wolverine would have just kept striking repeatedly to kill, she took him down with smarts, not just pure violence). She doesn't lose her head in battle, she thinks like chess with rapid fire planning and precision. Where wolverine would keep clawing away at a target, X-23 can kill in one precision stroke like the head of the pimp she cut off in her oneshot. She can look in a room and see 30+ different ways to kill someone in the second it takes wolvie to go snikt, roar, and attack blindly. All this in the package of a teenage girl who has experienced as much as wolverine pain-wise, but in a shorter time. Wolverine had to learn self-control through Bushido, X-23 doesn't need to learn self-control as that's all she has ever faced with the structure and orders and mission parameters surrounding her life. She needs to learn to have fun, relax, be content and happiness.

That's what makes X-23 awesome over wolverine. She's not an animal. She's an assassin through and through that was created through training, mental exercise, with genetics to get her the powers needed. Wolverine is an animal and a thug. In essence he's simple but cool. X-23 is complex and deals with topics that are above anything wolverine's comic would ever need to tread because of these differences.

As for the clone part, she's more like a testtube daughter as opposed to actual clone by marvel standards. She's got both Logan's genetics, and her Mother's in her. Now, X-24+ that was going to be created off her genetic code are indeed clones, but they are clones of X-23.
She's been called clone all her life to dehumanize her, and for Dr. Rice to be spiteful at Dr. Kinney for how she one-upped him and hurt his pride repeatedly.

As for who created her. That's the facility, not weapon X. The facility was trying to copy Weapon X, they aren't the same as them. Unless you mean the hulk vs. movie and WatX. Then it is weapon X. In X-Men evolution it was Hydra. In both toons she's a direct clone with only a chromosome difference. In comic form she's not.
