There's only so many universe spanning concepts you can have before you run out of steam. I thought civil war, skrulls, world war hulk and dark reign were a very well put together series of events building upon years of back story. But Chaos War and Fear Itself are forced with very little back story to stand on. They just need another summer crossover.
