I have a debate raging in my brain, which scale and size is the best? For me there's 5 scales, the biggest and most expensive being 1:1 full size replica, be it weapon, statue, wardrobe, etc. Then there's 1/2 scale more so busts, statues and replicas. The 3rd being 1/6, this being Hot toys, large scale Gi Joe and StarWars. The 4th being 1/12th so Marvel Legends,Marvel Select, Mcfarlane,Neca, etc anything 6-7'' scale. And the last but not least 1/18th scale MU,StarWars,GiJoe. Which scale is the best representation for you to collect and buy. Some people will have display cases full of tiny figures, some have a few statues and ex 1 guy has a lifesize stormtrooper in their livingroom. Everybody's collection is unique, we all have different tastes. So I want to know do you collect only 1 scale, all scales, and why.
Myself I've been collecing 1/6th scale Marvel Icons, Marvel Legends and Marvel Universe. In some cases I love the larger scale because it seems more lifelike and is more badass, but the space needed to display them is limited in my small apt. That's why I only have a few. Marvel Legends to me is a great scale, but Marvel Universe is growing on me, it's cheaper to buy in most cases, less surface to paint when doing customs and seems to have a long future ahead.
