I never collected much, I just never got rid of anything, until G.I.Joe. hit, then it was me and my brother collecting them all.
I wasn't a completionist but I'd still grab a joe I thought was okay just to grab him, then I realized, my living space was being encroached by the things, so I started to sell and give em away.

Now I've got maybe ten toys on display and another 25 crammed in a box, with 50 pending sale. Which isn't much, especially when I had close to 150-200 figures.

Way happier now, but it takes a bit to look at the figure, at contemplate, "Am I really gonna want this thing in a few months?"

It ain't easy and it took about three months to get the damned things out, but the deed is done.
