I like the current DH fig as well. Picked him up along with the rest of the wave last week thinking "why not"... Now I'm wanting to go home and dig up a lot of 90's comics.

DO IT! The old darhawk series reads like a "What Of Spider Man was kind of an angry guy when he got his powers?"
It's got all sorts of cool subplots right from the start- a disgraced cop father gone missing, mom trying to get by without her husband while raising a younger son and Chris (Darkhawk) in high school with anger issues.
And they live in a bad part of Brooklyn with gangs, drugs, bad cops...you name it.

Then read the new series that takes the entire last year or so of the old series and turns it on it's ear! In an amazing way that makes all the off cheesy 90's stuff that the old series had in places and pulls the rug out from under it!
