The "yellow fire" accessories that Bane has are a special material that keep the Force-sensitive creatures called Orbalisks away from Bane's face. The yellow facemask is the actual mask he wore to keep the Orbalisks away from his face, the two wrist things are actually what the Orbalisks look like. You'll notice similar designs on his chest.

Orbalisks are a beetle like creature which attached to Bane's body and they secret a poison into the blood which greatly intensifies his force powers. They also multiply once they have settled on an organism's body. They continue to multiply until they have covered the whole body and thus killing the host. That is why Bane wears the facemask, to prevent the Orbalisks from reaching his face. His gloves and boots also keep them from reaching his extremities. Also, Orbalisks are immune to any type of foreign attack, so they make up an impregnable armor. They can only be removed by means of extreme amounts of Sith lightning, and once struck by the lightning they die and release an even deadlier poison into the body, killing the host.
