If they price out the lines like they do with Star Wars, a large figure is usually offset by some smaller repaint figures in the wave. Pricing is usually done per wave, not per figure. That might also explain the 5 figure waves recently with one large figure.

Oh yeah. I didnt even consider that. They do this all the time with the WWE elite line. Youll often times see a figure that comes with next to nothing and often its to offset the price of the rest of the wave.
