thats 12 over 8, and most of Hasbro's stuff is in the boys section. Hasbro is selling more than Mattel also. I can guarentee My Little Pony sells more than Barbie right now. and you know what that means

They both have their hands in a lot more than you give either company credit for. You forget that Mattel has the Disney lisense, they can make toys of almost anything Disney has. They've currently got Lion King toys, and Cars is their biggest (And has been since day one). Mattel also has a stronger relationship to the direct collector market, where Hasbro has none.

Honestly, hasbro has almost no relations with the fans of it's properties. (I think MU is where they have the strongest hold in putting out collector toys?)
Their relationship with Transformer collecters pretty much no longer exists, and they also never make toys directly for the collector market anymore (If they put out a full collector piece, then it's using something Takara already made for theirs, like the Masterpiece line. Amazon's Unicron, and BBTS' Seacons being the only exceptions to direct market collector pieces).
Mattel has been catering directly to adult collectors for decades now, in almost every line. Ghostbusters and Heman after all exist exclusively for adult collectors.
But, if you're going into simantics as you are, Hasbro has more brands and more lines period. They are the largest toy company in the world, so they can't not. If you're wanting to bring up the amount of stuff hasbro puts out as a blanket company vs mattel, yeah they're gonna dominate. They dominate everyone. So bringing *everything* they do doesn't really say much.
That's like compairing allosaurids to charcarodontosaurids.

But (and this part is an open statement not directed at any one individual), none of this has any real meaning, as everyone *still* ignores, or doesn't understand the true meaning of the thread. Mattel's DC toys currently has the largest presence in the action figure isle. Which is technically true.
It's not stating how much better DC toys are. It's not stating that they outself Marvel toys. It's simply commented that DC toys have the largest presence in the toy isles, vs marvel's presence.
