First of all, not every child goes through tons of hurt. Secondly, it's impossible to estimate what it takes to scar a child's psyche. Like I said, I actually watched some scary movies as a child and I'm not scarred by them. It's down to the child and what makes him/her tick. I used to live in constant fear of the dumbest things and as I got older, I realized that these fears were unfounded. I'm not telling him to expose her child to his scary toys, I'm just saying that if she doesn't like it, she'll avoid it herself. Or he can put it somewhere where she won't see it. It's crazy to think that every child will freak out because of a scary toy. You know how scary Tim Burton's Batman was for me? I avoided the toy aisles just in case I ran into a Joker figure. I'm fine. I don't hate clowns. I don't want to kill clowns. I don't feel a need to dress like a clown. I don't even think about clowns, ever.
