From the obvious choices from He-man to Optimus Prime, to the lesser known guys like Inspector Gadget, and Banana Man, YOU decide which is the most impacting hero of the 1980's. YOU decide who is the greatest cartoon hero of that decade once and for ALL! I will add the names of any hero that I missed that you wish to nominate aswell

Optimus Prime: 11
Duke: 1
He-Man: 3
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: 2
Lion-O: 0
Papa Smurf: 0
Rodimus Prime: 0
Snake-Eyes: 1
Inspector Gadget: 0
TurboTeen: 0
BraveStarr: 0
Bulletproof (from C.O.P.S.): 0
Leader-1: 0
Pac-man: 0
DangerMouse: 0
Matt Tracker: 0
She-Ra: 0
Banana-Man: 0
Spiderman: 0
Heathcliff (the Cat): 0
The Silverhawks guy: 0
Any of the "Muppetbabies": 0
Carebear(s): 0
Cereal Guys (Capt. Crunch, ect.): 0

I voted for Optimus Prime. The reason is obvious. "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings." No one in the history of cartoons , imo, has ever been a more iconic hero than him. Known the world over by children from every country,Prime represented a fight for whats right itself, and emblazned in our minds that never giveing up can pay off!
