as we know, there's not a magic Hasbro factory that pumps out MU here in the States. they're produced primarily in the Asian market.
that said, when Disney takes over, they will do what Hasbro has always done - contract the Chinese. Hasbro will hand over the license a few years from now. I dont recall the year off hand, but its public knowledge.
Marvel Universe is here to stay. ToyBiz was an experiment, just as early MU waves were. difference being the enormous popularity of 3.75 figs today. ML is now a niche market, whereas MU is breaking waves.
as evident in Hasbro panels at Cons, MU is not going to slow down. sure there's mutiny and 'apocalyptic' theories by enraged (impatient) collectors and enthusiasts who want the new waves to hit NOW!!!! - but c'mon peeps, its called 'entertainment.' the dangling carrot. suspense. the very fuel that keeps the engine going.
retail stores like Target, WM are not in the game. they just sell stuff. so when they buy up cases upon cases of IM, CA, Thor lines and dont see the product moving, of course they pull back and reassess. it's called big business.
there's always going to be a market for Marvel Universe - one of the greatest revelations in modern toys.
