First I heated and pulled out the right arm. I cut off the left arm, and drilled a hole to match the other side. The legs from Sam plug right in.

Then I pulled out Sam's lower legs, and cut his thighs almost in half. I drilled the holes upward deeper so there would be room for the legs to be plugged back together.

My cut was curved in the back to give him an elbow and limit his arm from bending backwards.

Then I cut Sam's lower legs as close to the bottom of the elbow as I could. I took a pair of GI Joe hands and cut them off at the wrists. That was glued onto the calf part.

Finally I cut the gloves off Rocket's original arms, and drilled holes in them. I also hollowed out a little recess to make room for the GI Joe wrists. Popped the gloves on and I'm done.

Oh, p.s. I used some blue paint on the inside of the elbow because the plastic of Sam's legs is actually flesh tone. I was hoping the jeans color was all the way through, because it's a near dead on match for Rocket.
