Pretty much anything you see in American action films,he was doing in the 80's...

You want to see some Badass Action...

Hard Boiled
The Killer
A Better Tomorrow 1&2
Old Boy (Korean)
Fists of Legend
Fearless
Kiss of the Dragon
Any thing Bruce Lee
Brother Hood of the wolf
City of violence
Azumi 1&2
Infernal Affairs 1,2,3
Face off "97"
The replacement Killers "97"
Police Story
House of flying Daggers
Curse of the Golden Flower
7 swords
Storm Riders
IP Man 1,2
Once upon a time in China 1,2,3
Iron Monky
The proffessional
Rapid Fire
Showdown in little tokyo

Just to name a few....Hong kong Cinema is the best....Also added a couple other foreign productions that are awesome. And a sprinkle of American productions note worthy...

Now granted, some of these were not made before Blade's "98" release..But to say Blade set a standerd for action,is not very accurate...I loved Blade 1 & 2, but its all been done before..American movies IMO have never set the Bar for action movies..Sci-fi I would have to say yes they have, but action no...

Also I watch a lot of anime,so many American movies copy that also...

Sorry a bit off topic, just saying..:-)
Indeed HK Cinema is good...love your movie choices...
