I agree with your theory, for sure. I wonder how much my TMNT Playset in the box would go for. That's the line that really started my toy collecting obsession. As a 10 year old, I'd carefully separate the bubble on three edges and open the package on a hinge carefully, putting the figure and it's accessories back in the package when I was done posing/playing with it. OCD kicked in early for me, lol.
