Being a regular at the Fwoosh and then signing up here is quite the eye opener. I forget that stupid comments about genitalia and "WHO'S BETTER MARVEL OR DC!!!!111" are still considered appropriate on message boards.

On the topic of Mattel and the TDKR toyline, it's clear Mattel is either unwilling or unable to put the time and effort into anything new or innovative. The only two new sculpts we are aware of are Bane and Catwoman; the Batman figures in both the kids line and MM are reused from TDK.

This new "Quick Tek" thing is an example of what Mattel seems to be all about right now: gimmicks vs. real investment in new developments. The money wasted on that plastic could have been used for new sculpts for the smaller figures and increasing articulation at that scale. Instead, crappy throw-aways will lead to bigger packaging and higher prices. The smaller figures will clog the pegs and adversely affect the placement of other Mattel DC merchandize down the line.

If only Hasbro would get the DC license....
