Everything you say is truth, but it doesn't really do much but push my point. Nintendo dominates the handheld market, and always has. And always will.
Yeah, but kids have a lot more free travel time than adults. Kids ain't driving the car to Gramma's house.... MY point is, there is more than enough pie for Sony to have a sizable helping. The Vita is flexible enough to be far more successful at carving a chunk of pie than previous attempt. I have no doubt in my mind that Sony WILL NOT replace Nintendo as the dominant portable gaming device. Laser Disc survived alongside VHS for almost 20 years, even though it was vastly superior. It was only for the hi-fi crowd, but that support was enough to keep it going, and going strong. Nintendo has a proven success record with combining minimal tech with maximum brand power. As long as Nintendo can churn out Pokemon rainbows, Mario games of every genre, etc for a cheap price, they will retain a vast majority of their audience. But that doesn't stop people who demand more bang for their buck moving up to a PS Vita. They are a completely different market.

Semi-interesting and semi-related side note... I was at Target today, looking at Vita games... random kid wanted to buy some 3DS game, the mom says, "Why not get the regular DS version game? it's $10 cheaper and you don't use the 3D much anyway."
