It comes from the first Spider Man movie figure, pre-Hasbro. It was a 4.5/5 inch fig, came with a building gargoyle with a retractable zip line all in one package. And the building part had a clamp you could put on a shelf and hang spidey from. I still have that, works perfectly with this.

I think Hasbro also released a version of it in their early spidey waves too.
