[Crazy Jetty]

Only saw the first episode yesterday afternoon. Didn't even know it had started airing yet, and now I've already missed two episodes?
I hate DisneyXD's godaweful inconsistant scheduling. May as well not even bother trying to watch it (Only lead to massive headaches and missing half of Avengers first season when I tried to keep up with that), and just wait for DVD.

So, so far it doesn't blow me out of the water like the comic, and Spectacular Spiderman did (Which to me felt more like Ultimate Spiderman animated in spirit, than this does so far). However, I do not hate it. I don't feel like this is a halfassed and poorly written replacement for Spectacular, like TF Prime makes me feel when it comes to TF Animated's cancellation.

I'll give it a few episodes, to a whole season before I make any final judgements, as they need to find their feet, and figure out what works, and what doesn't. Hopefully a lot of the "Scrubs styled daydreams" (as Greenskar called them) will get weeded out, as they don't work nearly as well to justify how much they get used. They don't have to go away, just scaled back by at least half.

The Teenager thing is annoying to me as well (And such things usually don't bother me. I like it in Ironman: Armored Adventures). Not so much that Spidie and MJ,a nd the rest are teenagers. That's how the original started, that's how Ultimate is, and that's when Spiderman is at his best. But, while I've not seen the episode, I see no reason to have made Luke Cage and Ironfist into teenagers. Characters do not have to be "kids" in order for kids to identify with them, and there really is a bad trend in kid shows where writers seem to think this is true.

Anyway, those are what I don't like about it. But none of those things are dealbreakers, and none would keep me from watching the show.
As for what I like, in this case I haven't seen enough to find anything that stands out.

It would be nice to see some of the darker twists from the comic get incoprorated a bit later. And knowing disney, it's impossible to say if they would allow it or not. First instinct is to say they never would, but hell, they can go pretty dark when they want to. (Gargoyles springs to mind, immidiately)
