I'm telling you man, wait for the trades if you want, but definitely pick up Punisher and Daredevil- fantastic flippin' reads!

From Marvel, the top books have only one "big name" character- their best books are (drumrioll please)...

Journey Into Mystery (starring the all-new all-scheming, not-evil but not good exactly Loki!) They took the most tired Asgardian character marvel had and remade him into a God with....no powers at all! Loki must scheme and connive with his wits to manipulate the likes of Mephisto, Hela, Tyr, Nightmare, Surtur and the internet to do the right thing via questionable methods.

Punisher- I've said all I can say without spoiling some of the suprises and badassness- the entire series reads like wathing a great movie- no thought balloons or introspection and no "boxes" to recap or spoon feed you the story.

Daredevil- go ahead and read some of the glowing online reviews and check out the art on this- they manged to do a DD/Moleman story that was a great read- if they can make Moleman worth reading, it's a great series.


Amazing Spider-Man- BIG adventure more on par with his role as an Avenger- and when the excrement hits the intakes, he calls in the whole team to fight-the current storyline will pit the now-armored Spider-Man and the Avengers against the Sinister Six!

Avengers! Great art great story and dialogue and great new additions to the team in Storm Quake and the return of the real Vision! Plus it was great to see Storm electrocute a hulked-out Norman Osborn...only to have Quake give him a heart attack.
Yeah, she'd kill the Hulk just that easy.


Possibly adding to the list- Captain America & Hawkeye- this looks real good- art by Secret Warriors' artist Alessandro Vitti! Worthwhile for the off chance of a Fury appearance.

Everything else...take it or leave it, frankly.
