The only lizard appearance where he looked anything like this was his first appearance in the 60s.. ever since then he has had the elongated "alligator" like face.

Heck.. even my Mego Lizard in 1973 had the long snout.

I think this new look works better for a live action movie though.. in the comics (and figures).. ill take my classic version.
