This is definately a tricky one to answer!
And considering my tastes change a lot with my moods, and emotions.
I like women who're strong, but feminine. And by that, I don't mean sexual or sexy. I mean when the writers/creators realize and remember that women are not just men with big boobs. Who remember that women fundamentally think differently.
Take Kitara from Avatar: The Last Airbender. She's a brilliant example of what I'm talking about. Self assured, powerful, brave, and strong. But she still has emotions, she still has a caring and nuturing side. She absolutely loves her friends, and does what she can to protect them.
So this tends to guide my choices a bit. I won't go for some sex icon, like a lot of Image's girls.
my heroines:
Kitara
Donna Troy
Black Canary
Raven
Scarlett Witch
Speedy II (Mia Dearden)
Carol Ferris/Star Sapphire
Oracle
and Fatality has been growing on me *a lot.*
For Heroes:
Optimus Primal
Scorponok (Read the late half of the Marvel TF run.)
Green Arrow
Saint Walker
Captain America- If nothing more than the symbolism. What he represents. I love that his only weapon is a
shield.
The real world needs someone like him.
Robin/Tim Drake
Cyborg
The Doctor
There are a lot more. But at 2am, that's all I can think of.
My real life hero, the one who truely inspires me though, is Steve Irwin. He was a wonderful man, who did so many wonderful things to this world.
