But every year kids grow up and transition either away from or deeper into cartoons/comics/etc. The number of fans in the older bracket is probably much larger and grows every year. I understand that they want to get the kids early but kids are far less discerning. Do they honestly think that they won't watch anything that has Spider-Man in it? If the kids find the character cool they will watch regardless so why not make a quality product that will appeal to your older fans?
